Test your knowledge of history!
Was the light bulb invented before or after glasses? Before or after the telescope?
Each Timeline Inventions card has a different notable occurrence on it, with the date on only one side. Gameplay starts with a randomly drawn card in the middle of the table to form the timeline. On your turn, place a card in your hand before or after the card on the table, date side down. Once you’ve placed your card, turn it over to reveal the date. Did you get it in the right place on the Timeline?
If yes, it’s the next player’s turn. If no, you have to take the card back! First player to get rid of all their cards wins!
Timeline games are a great way to focus on historical events… And maybe learn something along the way!
PS: Because of the wide scope of events and happenings covered in the Timeline games, we think they’re better for 10 and up. Most 8 year olds won’t have learned about the inventions on the cards yet.
PPS: You can play with more players if you divide into teams.
