Ordering Info:

Store Pickup Info

 

Store pickup is always free.

We fulfill orders as quickly as we can. If you need something by a specific day or time, let us know at checkout and we will do our best!

Happy Up Edwardsville:

  • Orders are usually available for next day pickup if ordered by 2pm, Monday - Saturday.
  • If ordered after 2pm on Saturday, your order will be ready on Monday (or the next business day in case of holidays).

Happy Up Clayton:

  • Orders are usually available for next day pickup If ordered by 2pm, Tuesday - Saturday.
  • Orders placed before noon on Sunday will be available for pickup on Tuesday.
  • Some items may take additional time. We will contact you to let you know.

For Curbside Pickup:

Once we've let you know that your order is ready, give us a call when you arrive at the store. We'll bring your purchases out for you!

 

 

Shipping Info

 

We are more than happy to ship things for you!

A $24.00 minimum purchase is required for shipping.

Shipping rates are based on your cart total after any discounts or coupons.

Purchase Amounts:

  • $24 - $50 = $9.75 shipping
  • $50.01 - $75.00 = $12.25 shipping
  • $75.01 - $100.00 = $14.75 shipping
  • $100.01 - $150.00 = $19.00 shipping
  • $150.01 and up = $25.00 shipping

Some items are not eligible to ship. These items are labeled on their product page and in your cart as: Store Pickup Only

If you do not see shipping as an option at checkout, please check if any of your items are Store Pickup Only.

Shipping orders are processed Monday through Friday.

Do you Offer Free Shipping?

Sorry, no. At this point, we are not able to.

Happy Up is a small business. We do not do the volume of sales that makes offering free shipping financially possible.

This is something we hope to offer in the future! 

Can You Ship Internationally?

Sorry, no. At this time we do not offer international shipping. 

It is something we are keeping in mind as our business grows. Perhaps one day we will. 

General Info:

Paper Gift Certificates & Online Use

Our paper gift certificates are not redeemable online.

We can convert a paper gift certificate to online store credit. Keep in mind, once a paper certificate is converted, the store credit is for online use only and cannot be used in one of our brick & mortar stores.

Online store credit cannot be used for shipping charges.

We are not able to switch the online store credit back to a paper certificate.

If you'd like us to convert a paper gift certificate for online use, email help@happyupinc.com and include the following information:

  • Name of person who purchased the gift certificate
  • Name of person it was issued to
  • Dollar amount
  • Serial #
  • Your phone number in case we have questions and can't reach you by email.

 

We are not selling gift cards for in-store use on our shopping site.

Out of Stock Items & Your Cart

I had something saved in my cart and now I'm getting a message that the item is out of stock. How did that happen?

Happy Up does not have a separate warehouse or stock set aside for online sales. All of the items on our website are also on the shelves of our stores. If an item sells through before you make your purchase, our system will not let you complete your order.

  • Placing an item in your cart does not reserve that item for you. 
  • Some items move faster than others. 🙂

Can I Get an Out of Stock Item?

Maybe! Give us a call or reach out by email (see the contact info above). There's always a chance we still have one set to the side. 

If you're a local customer, we can take your info and give you a call when the item is back in stock, too.

What's with those In-Store Only items?

There are products we want to showcase online, but for one reason or another are better sold in person. These are some of the typical reasons:

  • The items arrive as an assortment with LOTS of choices. We do not track the individual item but people DEFINITELY want a certain style. Ensuring you can order and receive the item you want is impossible.

    Vinyl stickers with slogans or sayings, some fidgets, and some jewelry are a great example of this.

  • The item is a collectible and we need to limit the quantity of the item any one customer can purchase.

    Some Holiday items, blind boxes, and trading card sets are good examples.


  • We have very limited quantities in stock that may be spoken for already.

  • The item is a consumable like candy, soaps, and some personal care items. The FDA requires us to list ingredients and allergen information if we are selling these items online. That information isn't always available when we're adding the item to our website.

  • It's a very HIGH price-point item that we have on display. We order items like this for customers on an as-needed basis. 

    If you are not in the St. Louis Metro-East area, chances are very good there is another toy store near you that has it or can order it for you. We are a member store of The Good Toy Group. Why Don't You Ship Everything on Your Site?

As much as we would love to ship everything on our site, it just isn't practical. Here are the usual reasons we make an item Store Pickup Only:

  • The item is VERY HEAVY, like a large set of wooden train tracks. 
  • The item is VERY BIG, like a play table or dollhouse.
  • The item is LONG, like a giant kite or bow and arrow set.
  • The item is FRAGILE and may not survive any rough handling.

 

By restricting what we ship, we hope to keep our shipping rates as low as possible.

Searching Specifically for Boys or Girls Toys

When I search, why am I getting toys for both boys AND girls?

Here at Happy Up, we believe children should take the lead in what type of toys they want to play with. Unfortunately, they aren't the ones shopping online!

By labeling items to be for a certain gender, it restricts the type of toys and games an adult will consider for that child. To keep things as open as possible we avoid saying specific items are only "For a Boy" or "For a Girl."

Happy Up's Age Recommendations

Why are your recommendations different from what the box says?

The Happy Up Crew spends a LOT of time testing and playing. We take our role as "friendly toy experts" very seriously.

Sometimes, what the box says isn't always the best idea.

Our age recommendations reflect our experience and opinion about what age range the toy or game is truly best for.

We also note if it's a good choice for families to enjoy together!

Choking Hazards & Other Warnings

We do our best to have any alerts or warnings published in the product descriptions.

Unfortunately, we do not always have this information as we are adding products to our website.

Any product for a child over three should be considered likely to contain choking hazards, whether our descriptions state that or not.

STEM Science Kits and Sets often contain materials that may be hazardous if not handled correctly. These items should always be used under adult supervision.

Many Craft Kits and Art Sets contain things like sewing needles that have sharp points. These should always be used under adult supervision as well.
