A note about the age on the box:
We think Hey Clay is best for kids around 7 years.

That being said, Hey Clay air dry clay is perfectly safe for kids as young as three years. They will need a LOT of help to complete the characters and may find the steps frustrating. At five or six, most kids will need some help, but will probably be able to manage the small details and enjoy the process.
