A word-guess game where u must speak in single (ouch) syllables (ouch) or u get hit with stick.

Poetry for Neanderthals is a family-friendly party game where players earn points by getting their teammates to guess words and phrases.

The catch is that you can only use single syllable words to give clues. If you use any words with more than one syllable, the other team gets to bop them with a 2-foot inflatable NO club.

Example:

  1. Your card says Tyrannosaurus Rex
  2. You give short word clues to your team. You say “Big thing. Like bird. It scare me.” So far ok…
    Until you add “It’s a type of Dinosaur”
  3. Whap! You get the NO stick!
  4. And you lose points! Argh!

In our experience, kids are brutal if you give them the No stick. You’ve been warned.
